The TC826 is designed with true differential inputs andaccepts input signals within the input stage common-modevoltage range (VCM). The typical range is V+ -1 to V- +1V.Common-mode voltages are removed from the systemwhen the TC826 0perates from a battery or floating powersource (Isolated from measured system) and -IN is con-nected to analog-common (VCOM). In systems where common-mode rejection ratio mini-mizes error. Common-mode voltages do, however, affectthe integratoroutputlevel. Integ rator output saturation mustbe prevented. A worse case condition exists if a largepositive VCM exists in conjunction with a full-scale negativedifferential signal. The negative signal drives the integratoroutput positive along with VCM. For such applications, theintegrator output swing can be reduced below the recom- mended 2Vfull-scale swing. The integratoroutputwill swingwithin 0.3V of VDD or Vss without increased linearity error.
