Fixed-Frequency Modulation (FFM) ModeThe MAX9713/MAX9714 feature three FFM modes withdifferent switching frequencies (Table l). In FFM mode,the frequency spectrum of the class D output consistsof the fundamental switching frequency and its associ-ated harmonics (see the Wideband FFT graph in theTypical Operating Characteristics). The MAX9713/MAX9714 allow the switching frequency to be changedby +35%, should the frequency of one or more of theharmonics fall in a sensitive band. This can be done atany time and not affect audio reproduction.

Timer 2Timer 2 is a 16-bit Timer/Counter which can operate as either anevent timer or an event counter, as selected by C/T2* in the specialfunction register T2CON (see Figure l).
